Punchy bassline, sharp lyrics and heaven strings, It gets better by Rex Orange County feels like the only way to start this thing. It’s also thematically sweet. It does get better unless you’re in of those (not particularly rare) circumstances where it doesn’t. In which case, yikes.
Kojey Radical’s always reminded me of a Tyler the creator/George Clinton hybrid, Cashmere tears illustrates why exactly. Also look for the music video. It’s gorgeous.
I think Dime In The Winter is the best song on MITJ. I’m not sure if it’s the best Santi song but I could make a pretty good case for it.
I have a friend who pronounces “Sango” like the Yoruba god of fire/thunder/axes(?). I thought it was funny and it reminded me of this song. Smino is a wordsmith but this isn’t how to spell Khlorine.
SBTRKT (subtract) have a song. It’s good. It’s got Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend crooning about the relationship dynamics with his girl. It’s called NEW DORP. NEW YORK.
Gus Dapperton’s “I’m Just Snacking” has always felt extremely nostalgic. Like being a kid and solving random problems with your friends. It’s the prettiest song on this playlist.
Alfie Templeman’s “Used To Love” is just more proof that break up songs >>> Love songs.
Regardless of how you receive this incredible piece of art, this band is called FEET. They’re from Coventry and Petty thieving is beautiful.
I was going to put SPORTS on the first ever edition of Du du ke but I couldn’t find anything to match it with. Viagra boys are 5 piece Swedish post-punk experiment that exist to make fun of American Culture.

Trampoline - SHAED: I fell in love with song before I realized it reminded me a bit of AURORA. It’s amazing. There’s some whistling in there (1:56) that segues into her saying “la la la la la” and then the hook, that part touches my soul.
The Only Thing - Zola Blood: This is a song for driving fast. The hook is pleasantly (and surprisingly) reminiscent of Muse. It’s such a fucking rush.
sex money feelings die - Lykke Li: This is not what I expect when I see Lykke Li’s name on a song. I mean, I expect awesomeness but this, to me, is a genre departure. It’s mad still.
Body Talk - 1ST VOWS: This song is for fucking. It’s a fucking sexy fucking song.
Other Spaces - The Seshen: I think this is perfect for dancing alone in your room or for just chilling in a bubble bath with scented candles and dat.
Nobody More Than You - Arms and Sleepers
Territory - The Blaze: I have this ex who always recommends the most fire jams. It’s actually quite shocking just how much of “my music” reminds me of her. Need to diversify and dat. Anyway, this song is amazing and the video is one of those music videos that add to the work.
Children with No Name - Khen & Guy Mantzur: This song is 9 minutes 50 seconds long and yes, the build up might require a bit of patience (didn’t for me, I can spidey sense awesomeness), it’s totally worth it. It’s 10 minutes of amazing everything.
